Access to Care and After Hours Care
We understand that health concerns don’t always keep a regular schedule. Alcona Health Center’s established patients have access to the provider on call evenings, weekends and holidays and we always reserve some same day appointments at each location to make sure you can be seen when you need us!
Acute Care Clinic offered at Alpena Services
Alcona Health Center is now offering “Acute Care” at our Alpena Services facility on US 23 North. This new “Acute Care” clinic is an alternative service that is being offered in place of walk-in services that have been discontinued due to COVID-19. “Acute Care” clinic hours will be offered Monday through Saturday for those who do not have an emergency but need to be seen the same or next day due to illness or injury. In person and telehealth options will both be available. This service is open to all. You do not need to be an established Alcona Health Center patient to access the “Acute Care” clinic hours.
When and Where to Go for Care…
Go to Your Patient Centered Medical Home for Routine Care.
See your healthcare provider for preventative care, disease management, and routine illnesses.
Same day appointments are available for things like fever, flu, sore throat, coughs, injuries such as sprains or cuts, and any care that you need!
For Access to Your Patient Centered Medical Home Evenings, Weekends and Holidays…
If the clinic or location that you are seen at is closed and you have a health concern, call our On-Call Provider. They will provide you with sound medical advice, letting you know if you need to go to the ER or if you should consider other options.
