Adult Physicals and Medicare Wellness Exams

Physicals and Medicare Wellness Exams are an essential part of preventive care. During these visits, your healthcare provider will address any concerns, review your health needs, and work with you to create a plan for recommended screenings or vaccinations. Our staff will help coordinate your care by scheduling tests or setting up referrals when needed.

💡 It’s best to have these exams every year — regular checkups make it easier to catch potential issues early and stay ahead of preventable health problems.

AHC offers Well Child Visits and Sports Physicals to support your child’s health and development. These appointments ensure your child is on track developmentally, while screenings can identify potential health concerns early — allowing for timely interventions and better outcomes.

At AHC, you have a dedicated team of healthcare professionals ready to support your care. In addition to your primary care provider, our team includes Community Health Workers, Care Managers, a Dietitian, and Care Connectors who can help meet your needs. Whether you need health education, assistance coordinating appointments and tests with specialists, or support getting to your visits, we are here for you.

Alcona Health Center provides vaccines to anyone in the community who needs one. Walk-in & Same/Next Day Medical Appointments

Alcona Health Center offers walk-in or same day appointments to the community – you do not need to be an established patient to be seen. Walk-in or same day appointment hours are available at the following specific locations – Alcona Health Center – Walk-In Clinic (Alpena), Oscoda, and Ossineke. All AHC locations will attempt to accommodate walk-ins and same day appointments as scheduling allows. These appointments are available for non-emergency care for patients of all age ranges for a variety of things like fevers, coughs, cold/flu, rashes, burns, strains, sprains, scrapes and cuts.  These services are available to the entire community. You do not need to be an established patient.
