About this Location
The school based behavioral health program is operated by Alcona Health Center in partnership with Public Schools of Petoskey. With parental/guardian permission, our licensed behavioral health professionals can provide therapy conveniently located within your child’s school. This allows for ease of access, fewer disruptions of regular routines and less loss of class time. Commercial insurance and Medicaid plans are accepted and we offer an income based sliding fee program. New patients are welcome.

Jessica Stefanski, LMSW is a Behavioral Health Therapist. She earned her Master's of Social Work degree from Grand Valley University in 2011. She is trained in providing Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to children and their families who have been impacted by trauma. Jessica also utilizes EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) an approach to psychotherapy that enables individuals to heal from emotional distress that is a result of disturbing life experiences, including trauma, attachment concerns, anxiety/panic disorder, grief/loss. She has also received further training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness and Play Therapy. Jessica is also a member of the National Association of Social Workers.

This health center receives Health and Human Services (HHS) funding and has Federal Public Health Service (PHS) deemed status with respect to certain health or health related claims, including medical/dental/behavioral health malpractice claims, for itself and its covered individuals.
