About this Location



The school based behavioral health program is operated by Alcona Health Center in partnership with Alpena Public Schools. With parental/guardian permission, our licensed behavioral health professionals can provide therapy conveniently located within your child’s school. This allows for ease of access, fewer disruptions of regular routines and less loss of class time. Commercial insurance and Medicaid plans are accepted and we offer an income based sliding fee program. New patients are welcome.

Peggy Krajniak, MA LLPC

Peggy Krajniak, MA LLPC is a Behavioral Health Therapist. She studied at Western Michigan University and earned Master Degrees in Community Agency and School Counseling. Peggy Krajniak is also holds a Certificate in Substance Use Abuse Counseling.

Lisa Lenard, LPC

Lisa Lenard, LPC is a Behavioral Health Therapist. She earned her Master of Arts in Counseling from Spring Arbor University. She is trained in EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing), TF-CBT (trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy), hypnotherapy, and play therapy. Professional memberships include The Association for Play Therapy, Michigan Association for Play Therapy, EMDR International Association and the American Counseling Association.
