Acute Care Clinic Hours –
Alcona Health Center is now offering “Acute Care” at their Alpena Services facility on US 23 North. This new “Acute Care” clinic is an alternative service that is being offered in place of walk-in services that have been discontinued due to COVID-19. “Acute Care” clinic hours will be offered Monday through Saturday for those who do not have an emergency but need to be seen the same or next day due to illness or injury. In person and telehealth options will both be available. This service is open to all. You do not need to be an established Alcona Health Center patient to access the “Acute Care” clinic hours.
Alcona Health Center asks that you please phone (989) 356-4049 to set up an appointment time for this “Acute Care” service prior to coming into the building. With patient safety in mind, those who are coming to the clinic with an illness will now enter via the “Acute Care” entrance at the north end of the building.
Special appointment times for higher risk patients –
As part of our COVID-19 response plan, we have set aside special appointment times for the elderly or those with certain medical conditions that may make them higher risk for getting complications if they get COVID-19 or another virus. Please let the receptionist or scheduler know if you have: Asthma, Chronic Kidney Disease with Dialysis, Diabetes, a serious heart condition, a blood disorder or if you are immunocompromised or over 65 years old.
