About this Location

The school based behavioral health program is operated by Alcona Health Center in partnership with Alpena Public Schools. With parental/guardian permission, our licensed behavioral health professionals can provide therapy conveniently located within your child’s school. This allows for ease of access, fewer disruptions of regular routines and less loss of class time. Commercial insurance and Medicaid plans are accepted, and we offer an income based sliding fee program. New patients are welcome.

Christy Leeck, LLMSW is a Behavioral Health Therapist. She earned her Master's Degree in Social Work from Michigan State University in May 2023. She holds a certification in working with combat veterans and their families. Ms. Leeck will be assisting children as a school-based 31 N therapist in collaboration with Alpena Public Schools.

Behavioral Health - 31N Program

Debora Suszek, LLMSW is a Behavioral Health Therapist. She studied at Ashford University, earning her Bachelor's Degree in Health and Human Services before going on to obtain a Master's in Social Work from Walden University. Her professional strengths include working with children and working with those impacted by trauma. Ms. Suszek will be assisting the young children at Thunder Bay Junior High School in Alpena as a school-based 31 N therapist in collaboration with Alpena Public Schools.
