Site Manager- Full Time Alcona Health Center – Oscoda Services


  1. Manages departmental staff and co-supervises medical providers and medical support staff.
    • Develops, maintains, and monitors the departmental budget.
    • Determines the most effective method for assigning responsibilities and duties to department employees.
    • Maintains job descriptions, procedures and other documentation related to the organization of the department.
    • Assigns duties and responsibilities, and ensures employees receive instruction/training needed to complete their job responsibilities.
    • Ensures that employees are aware of and adhere to all company policies and procedures, and conveys all senior management communications and directives.
    • Reviews departmental work for thoroughness and accuracy, and provides specific instructions to supervisors and employees on completion of tasks/responsibilities.
    • Prepares and conducts performance appraisals for immediate staff:
      1. Completes performance appraisal documentation.
      2. Meets with employees to review documentation and provide feedback.
      3. Develops and monitors employee development plans as needed.
      4. Oversees, participates in, and approves other departmental employee reviews as needed
    • Conducts hiring, disciplinary, and termination procedures:
      1. Interviews candidates and makes final recommendations to Human Resources.
      2. Implements disciplinary action with troubled employees.
      3. Initiates proper termination procedures when employee dismissal is imminent.
  2. Manages clinical site.
    • Evaluates clinic activities and conditions to ensure patient care, staff relations, and efficiency of service, including janitorial performance and site checks/walk throughs, and submits appropriate documentation and check lists.
    • Ensures inventory and supplies are appropriately purchased, stocked, and used in the clinic.
    • Ensures clinic site, including clinic equipment, is being properly maintained and equipment is replaced as appropriate.
    • Monitors the incident report, staff compliance, and job performance; takes appropriate corrective action when necessary.
    • Addresses escalated patient complaints.
    • Acts as superuser for practice management and electronic health record software as appropriate.
    • Determines the most effective method for assigning responsibilities and duties to department employees.
    • Maintains job descriptions, procedures and other documentation related to the organization of the department.

Licenses and Certifications

  1. Possesses a current State of Michigan driver’s license and valid automobile insurance.   
  2. Possesses a current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) CPR certification.

Credentialed clinical experience desired.

Marketing & Community Outreach Manager – Full Time Alcona Health Center – Alpena Administrative Annex Office 


The Marketing & Community Outreach Manager purpose is to educate the health care community and general public regarding the full spectrum of Alcona Health Center services. Also directs the public relations and marketing efforts for the Health Center.

Responsibilities: Responsible for planning, development and implementation of all the Organization’s marketing strategies, marketing communications and public relations activities, both external and internal.  This position requires travel throughout AHC’s service area.  It also requires flexibility to work outside normal working hours, to include evenings and weekends as necessary.  Provides overall management of the Community Outreach and Marketing departments.  Advocates for health education outreach and care services with government and local agencies.

Qualifications & Knowledge:  General Business studies and/or Marketing

Business and/or Marketing degree or equivalent is desirable.  Marketing techniques channels, strategic marketing, PR techniques, excellent knowledge and literacy of online and social media.  Experience in managing a web site and facebook account.

Experience & Training Essential:  Working/worked in a marketing team, created & implemented a marketing plan.  Experience of copywriting, editing and producing reports, newsletters and publications. Excellent working knowledge of a range of office software.  Worked/working in a Public Relations role or support role.

Essential Skills:  Excellent grammar, telephone manner.  Ability to build relationships quickly, ability to organize and prioritize workload, creation of marketing material, ability to carry out public presentations and respond to questions, work to tight deadlines.
